Philpott lands two pieces on Grist.org

The first one, a couple of weeks ago, a cheeky piece on how to have a "green" Thanksgiving; the other, just out today, a review of legendary multi-species pastured meat farmer Joel Salatin's new book. These are independent of my regular blogging on Gristmill.org. Check them out.

After reading about philpott and his beliefs I noticed one thing that he doesnt mention
When our senators form committees and recieve input to form new laws and regulations they dont have any American small farmers on those committees. They use guidelines and input from giant conglomerates that dont want to compete with american farmers. RJR Reynolds is an example-non american conglomerate that controls everything from toilet paper to whiskey and green beans. They control/own Kraft, and Kraft helped draw up rules and regulations for the cheese industry, resulting in Kraft controlling the cheese board and dictating prices and regulations to the detriment of american farmers and small cheese companies. 90% of all small cheese companies in wisconsin had to close, and now they import all the casein from a united kingdom country--mainly New Zealand and Australia, where they have huge dairy herds--as many as 8,00 to 10,000 head of cattle. why? Because all the major conglomerates are owned by british royalty.

Saw your piece from Grist about Monsanto's man at the US Trade Office posted on the grains.org list ( http://www.grain.org/bio-ipr )
Thought I'd come check out "Bitter Greens" -- I thought it was going to be a Green Party site! Of jaded disillusioned we-are-neither-left-nor-right-but-out-in-fronters, or expatriots, or I don't know, maybe something like the Onion. Anyway, good piece, carry on.

The link between Mind and Social / Environmental-Issues.

The fast-paced, consumerist lifestyle of Industrial Society is causing exponential rise in psychological problems besides destroying the environment. All issues are interlinked. Our Minds cannot be peaceful when attention-spans are down to nanoseconds, microseconds and milliseconds. Our Minds cannot be peaceful if we destroy Nature.

Industrial Society Destroys Mind and Environment.

Subject : In a fast society slow emotions become extinct.
Subject : A thinking mind cannot feel.
Subject : Scientific/ Industrial/ Financial thinking destroys the planet.
Subject : Environment can never be saved as long as cities exist.

Emotion is what we experience during gaps in our thinking.

If there are no gaps there is no emotion.

Today people are thinking all the time and are mistaking thought (words/ language) for emotion.

When society switches-over from physical work (agriculture) to mental work (scientific/ industrial/ financial/ fast visuals/ fast words ) the speed of thinking keeps on accelerating and the gaps between thinking go on decreasing.

There comes a time when there are almost no gaps.

People become incapable of experiencing/ tolerating gaps.

Emotion ends.

Man becomes machine.

A society that speeds up mentally experiences every mental slowing-down as Depression / Anxiety.

A ( travelling )society that speeds up physically experiences every physical slowing-down as Depression / Anxiety.

A society that entertains itself daily experiences every non-entertaining moment as Depression / Anxiety.

FAST VISUALS /WORDS MAKE SLOW EMOTIONS EXTINCT.

SCIENTIFIC /INDUSTRIAL /FINANCIAL THINKING DESTROYS EMOTIONAL CIRCUITS.

A FAST (LARGE) SOCIETY CANNOT FEEL PAIN / REMORSE / EMPATHY.

A FAST (LARGE) SOCIETY WILL ALWAYS BE CRUEL TO ANIMALS/ TREES/ AIR/ WATER/ LAND AND TO ITSELF.

People need to learn about credit repair. It will help them with their problems that are interlinked.
